The Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is continuing the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS) in 2018

The purpose of the scheme is to encourage the leveraging of private capital to invest in a number of small scale, labour intensive projects, to repair and conserve structures protected under the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended).
The Scheme seeks to support the employment of skilled and experienced conservational professional, craft workers and trades people. This scheme will be administered by Local Authorities and project supports will range from a minimum of €2,500 to a maximum of €15,000 per application.
Cavan County Council has received €50,000 under this scheme and full details are contained within the Circular BHIS 18/1 which can be requested from the Heritage Office of Cavan County Council or downloaded below along with application form and a public information leaflet:

The closing date for members of the public to apply to the Local Authority under this scheme is close of business on Wednesday, 31 January 2018.
