Social Enterprises looking to learn more about the new €1.6M Social Enterprise Development Fund are invited to attend. The event will take place in Council Chamber, Cavan County Council, Courthouse, Farnham Street, Cavan on Tuesday 27 February at 11am.
Interested social enterprises can register for the free seminar at http://www.socialinnovation.ie/social-enterprise-development/
The Social Enterprise Development Fund has been established by Social Innovation Fund Ireland in partnership with Local Authorities Ireland, with the support of IPB Insurance, a wholly Irish owned mutual insurer and the Department of Rural and Community Development from the Dormant Accounts Fund.
Social enterprises are organisations whose mission is to have a positive effect on society. They generate revenue through their products or services and reinvest their profits back into their social mission.
This new fund will be delivered over the course of two years and will offer the chance for up to eight social enterprises per year from across Ireland to receive a cash grant of €50,000 to put towards growing their organisation. The successful applicants will also receive a place on Social Innovation Fund Ireland’s six-month Accelerator programme that is designed to help them to grow and develop their ideas into powerful community solutions through ongoing support and advice.
