Local Economic and Community County Plan

Local Economic and Community County Plan

Public Consultation on the Economic and Community County Plan - we want to hear your views.

Published on: 06 Jun 2014

The Local Government Act 2014 provides that a Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) will be established in each local authority. This committee involves many stakeholders and replaces the County Development Board.

The new committee must prepare a six year Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) in cooperation with the County Council.  Cavan County Council and Cavan LCDC now invite members of the public to make observations or other submissions in writing in relation to the development of this new LECP plan for the county.

We are interested in hearing about the issues and needs of County Cavan in relation to:

  • local economic element
  • community development
