Proposed Temporary Road Closure - L7117

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic the road described hereunder for a period of 2 weeks commencing on 12th January 2026 to facilitate the installation of a cattle underpass.

Road proposed to be closed

L7117 from Ballaghdorragh to Knocknaveagh

Alternative Route

Eastbound

Divert at the junction of the L3025 and L7117 in the townland of Knocknaveagh, onto the L3025,
Turn left onto the L7122,
Enter Co Meath,
Turn left onto L7135 in the townland of Rahard and rejoin L7117 junction in Ballaghdorragh.
The same alternative routes in reverse will apply to traffic travelling on the Westbound direction.

Any objections to the above road closure should be addressed to the undersigned in writing no later than 5pm on Friday, 19th December 2025.
