Cavan promoted as destination at ‘Holiday World’
The annual Holiday World show is taking place this weekend at the RDS Simmonscourt, and County Cavan is well-represented at the ‘This is Cavan!’ stand where Cavan County Council’s Tourism Development Office is joined by key activity and accommodation providers in the county, as they promote Cavan as an attractive place to visit for overseas and domestic visitors alike.
Cavan tourism businesses at Holiday World, Ireland’s largest tourism trade show, include Slieve Russell Hotel, The Breffni Arms Hotel, Farnham Estate, Cavan Crystal Hotel, Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark Created in Cavan, Aeroheaven Glamping, Swan Lake Glamping, ‘This is Cavan!’, Cabü, and Cabra Castle.
Chief Executive of Cavan County Council stopped by the This is Cavan stand on Friday, and congratulated all on their stellar efforts to promote Cavan. “I am delighted to attend the Holiday World exhibition this morning – it’s wonderful to see the central location ‘This is Cavan!’ brand has amongst our national trade, and the quality of the stand is tremendous credit to everything we have to offer in Cavan,” said Mr Doyle.
“My sincere congratulations to everyone in the trade who has supported the initiative and would like to commend everyone in the local authority, staff and elected members who have supported our tourism offering. I’d like to give particular thanks to our tourism staff, Joanne Hayes and Emma Poyntz for the wonderful work they do. It is a must see for anyone who is in Dublin this weekend. Come along and support Cavan and everything we have to offer.”
Speaking on Friday from the RDS, Cavan County Council’s Tourism Development Officer Joanne Hayes said, “We are thrilled to be back at Holiday World this year with ‘This is Cavan!’, bringing some of Cavan’s finest tourism businesses and organisations with us. The response from members of the public and trade alike has been really positive, and I have no doubt that the efforts of all of our tourism trade members here this weekend will yield significant benefits for the local tourism industry in the months and years to come”.
The ‘This is Cavan!’ stand is located at Stand i6/j7 at the Holiday World Exhibition, which is open from 10am until 5pm on Saturday, 24th and Sunday, 25th January. See www.thisiscavan.ie for more information on things to do and places to stay in County Cavan.
