Emergency Road Closure - Cootehill St Patrick's Day Parade

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder on Tuesday 17th March 2026 between the hours of 1pm and 5pm for the purposes of accommodating the St. Patrick’s Day Parade scheduled for 3pm in Cootehill.

Roads Closed:

R190 extending from the end of Station Road from junction with New Line, length of Market Street from intersection with Bridge Street/Church Street/Cavan Street to the intersection with Chapel Lane. And then R188 on Bridge Street from the intersection at Church Street/Cavan Street/Market Street to the intersection with Cavan Road.
