Emergency Road Closure – L-5611-0, Barrack Lane

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Monday 15th June until Friday 10th July, between 8am and 6pm for the purposes of connecting water and sewerage services to a residential property. 

Road Closed

• L-5611-0 Barrack Lane, Belturbet from its junction with the L-1501-0 (Barrack Hill) in the townland of Corporation Lands north-westwards for a distance of 60 metres.

Alternative Route

• North-westbound – From Junction L-5611-0 / L-1501-0 (Junction of Barrack Lane & Barrack Hill) travel southwards a short distance to Junction L-1501-0 / R-197-0 (Junction of Barrack Hill, Holborn Hill & Deanery Street), then south-westwards along the R-197-0 (Holborn Hill) to Junction R-197-0 / L-5589-0 (Junction of Holborn Hill, Main Street & Water Lane), then north-westwards along the L-5589-0 (Water Lane) to Junction L-5589-0 / L-5590-0 / L-5612-0 (Junction of Water Lane, The Lawn & Willow Avenue), then north-eastwards along the L-5612-0 (Willow Avenue) to Junction L-5612-0 / L-5611-0 (Junction of Willow Avenue & Barrack Lane) to rejoin the L-5611-0 ( Barrack Lane). End of detour.
• South-eastbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to south-eastbound traffic.

Local access to Barrack Lane will be accommodated only via Willow Avenue.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
