Emergency road closure - Rassan

All temporary emergency and proposed road closures are subject to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulation 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close fully to public traffic the roads described hereunder for a period of two consecutive days, on the dates of Wednesday, 15 January 2020 and Thursday, 16 January 2020, for the purpose of urgent roadworks.

 

Roads Closed:

L3016 from its junction with the L3029 in Ballyjamesduff town to the junction with the L-7070 (Rassan Cross) in the townland of Rassan.

 

Alternative Route (L3016 Southeast bound)

Divert at Rassan Cross onto the L7071 to the R194 at the townland of Finaway.

  • via the R194 into Ballyjamesduff town to the junction with the L3031 (Market St.)
  • via the L3031 to the junction with the L3029 (Crosskeys Rd.).
  • via the L3029 to the junction with the L3016 (Rassan Rd.)

 

The same alternative routes in reverse will apply to traffic travelling on the L3016 Northwest bound from Ballyjamesduff to Rassan.

 

Local access will be accommodated where possible. Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
