Submissions and observations on a planning application
Any person has the right to make a submission or observation on a planning application, under Article 29 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001.
A submission or observation can be made in relation to any planning application within 5 weeks beginning on the date of receipt by the authority of the application. All submissions must be made to the planning authority in writing and must include a prescribed fee of €20. All submissions and fees for same must be received by 5pm on the last day of the above mentioned 5 week period.
Any submissions received after this time or which do not include the prescribed fee of €20 will be declared invalid. Invalid submissions will be returned and will not be taken into consideration by the planning authority when a decision is being made on the planning application .
Please note: Your submission will be made public and could therefore be placed on the Planning Authority’s Website. You should therefore be careful not to include excessive or superfluous personal information about yourself or others.
