An immersive exhibition telling the story of Lough Sheelin through art, film, storytelling and music. Led by Kim Gaffney Art together with artist Collette Kearney Art the exhibition includes art from local schools. Harp music composed for this project by musician Barry O’Reilly flows throughout a video created by Dimitry from Jago Studios. The exhibition is held at Cavan County Museum.
The video features local people sharing their knowledge and stories of the lake, along with beautiful footage of the secret jewels of Lough Sheelin, the islands rarely seen, unveiling the ruins of a castle and a monastery.
The exhibition was officially launched on 22 August by Cathaoirleach Carmel Brady.
