Minutes of Ballyjamesduff Municipal District Meeting held in Cavan County Museum Ballyjamesduff on 07th November 2025

Confirmation of Minutes
1. To confirm Minutes of Monthly Meeting 24th September 2025
Proposed by Councillor S.P O’Reilly, Seconded by Councillor N. Connell, and Resolved “that minutes of meeting of Ballyjamesduff Municipal District Meeting 24th of September 2025 be hereby approved".
2. To Approve Ballyjamesduff MD Draft Budget 2026
After a robust and lengthy discussion by the councillors on the matter it was, proposed by Councillor S.P. O’Reilly, seconded by Councillor W. Bennett, and resolved "that the Ballyjamesduff MD Draft Budget 2026 be hereby approved".
3. Taking in Charge Housing Estates.
Senior Planner Nicholas O’Kane presented five housing estates to be taken in charge within the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District. The Councillors welcomed this as a positive step forward and complimented Pat Gaynor for his hard work in making this happen. They also expressed their appreciation to Senior Planner Nicholas O’Kane and his team for the time and effort dedicated to this project.
After a brief discussion it was agreed that the 5 housing estates presented were approved for taking in charge:
- Brookville – Rantavan, Mullagh
- Mullach Mor – Mullagh
- Hazelwood Court – Ballaghanea, Virginia
- Riverview – Rahardrum, Virginia
- Forgebrook – Ballinagh
It was proposed by Councillor S.P O’Reilly, seconded by Councillor T.P O’Reilly, and resolved that the above listed housing estates to be taken in charge.
The meeting concluded at 12.00pm.
