Introduction to Morrissey Park
Morrissey Park is located towards the north east of Belturbet, Co. Cavan overlooking the marina. The park was constructed in honour of the late Sergeant Patrick Morrissey. The current park has playground equipment for young children, outdoor gym pieces spread throughout the park and a tarmac car park.
Access and movement around the park is limited with very little hard surfacing suitable for young families or disabled visitors. The proposed concept landscape design aims to create a functional,
exciting and accessible park for the community of Belturbet which will cater for a range of ages.
