Petroleum licensing

Cavan County Council issues licences pursuant to SI 630 of the 2019 Dangerous Substances (Flammable Liquids and Fuels Retail Stores) Regulations 2019 and SI 631 of 2019 Dangerous Substances (Flammable Liquids and Fuels Distribution and Commercial Supply Stores)

The current Regulations came into effect from 1st April 2020. The current regulations and guidance on complying with them can be found by visiting https://dbei.gov.ie/en/Legislation/Dangerous-Substances-Regulations-2019.html.

These regulations repeal and replace the Dangerous Substances (Retail and Private Petroleum Stores) Regulations, 1979 – S.I. No. 311 and The Dangerous Substances (Petroleum Bulk Stores) Regulations, 1979 (No. 313 of 1979) respectively.
