Local Enhancement Programme 2024

The Local Enhancement Programme 2024 is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, and was launched nationally by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Joe O’Brien TD (read launch press release).

In County Cavan, Cavan Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) invites applications from community groups and community facilities under the Local Enhancement Programme 2024.

The Local Enhancement Programme will support groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas, to carry out necessary repairs and improvements to their facilities and purchase equipment.

Grants Available

The grants available under this scheme are:

  • Capital funding of €113,662.20 for the Local Enhancement Programme to use towards carrying out necessary repairs and improvements to facilities, energy efficiency type projects, purchase of equipment etc;

and

  • Capital funding of €24,183.45 is ring-fenced for Women’s Groups. The group must be already in existence. There must be an appropriate organisational structure and a level of existing activity. Groups are allowed to be affiliated with another parent association e.g. ICA, Hen’s Shed, Girl Guides, LGFA.
