Incorrect Date of Sale on Vehicle Registration Certificate

For information on correcting/amending a date of sale please click on www.motortax.ie

Both the current and previously registered owner of the vehicle must send the Department of transport a letter, signed by both parties, outlining the correct sale date. The VRC must also be sent with this letter. Both parties must also send us their identification e.g. copy of driving licence.

The Department of Transports will post a VRC to the new owner with the correct sale date.
