Public Consultation - Round Two

County Cavan Local Economic Community Plan (LECP) 2023-2029, 2nd public consultation

The LECP is a statutory plan that sets out high-level goals, objectives and actions needed to promote and support economic development and local and community development for the County.

After extensive public consultation, the draft actions and objectives of the emerging LECP for County Cavan are ready for public viewing.

On Monday, 11 September there will be two online public engagement sessions, at 2pm and 7pm. The links for both are below.

The focus of the sessions will be on how the various actions will be prioritised and implemented. The overall aim of the workshops will be to make sure the plan is the right fit for County Cavan.

Public consultation events for the Cavan Local Economic Community Plan (LECP) took place throughout February 2023 at the following venues:

Thursday, 16 February 2023

  • 10am – 11.30am, Hotel Kilmore, Dublin Rd, Cavan
  • 6.30pm – 8pm, Hotel Kilmore, Dublin Rd, Cavan

Monday, 20 February 2023

  • 6.30pm – 8pm, Cavan County Museum, Ballyjamesduff

Wednesday, 22 February 2023

  • 6.30pm – 8pm, Cootehill Community Hub, Market Street, Cootehill

Local Economic Community Plan (LECP)

The purpose of the LECP is to set out the objectives and actions needed to promote the economic development and community development of Cavan, both by the local authority directly, and in partnership with other economic and community development stakeholders.

This consultation will seek the views of people living in the three MD areas of Cavan, diverse communities of interest as well as public, private and community sectors.
