Litter management plan

Notice of publication of Draft Litter Management Plan 2021 – 2024

Notice is hereby given under Section 10 of the Litter Pollution Act 1997 as amended, that Cavan County Council proposes to replace its Litter Management Plan 2016 – 2019.  A new Draft Litter Management Plan 2021 – 2024 has been prepared for the prevention and control of litter in the County and sets out appropriate objectives for the three year period 2021 – 2024.

Submissions and observations on the proposed Draft Plan are invited from members of the public and from voluntary and representative bodies.  The closing date for receipt of submissions is 5.00pm on Friday, 30th July 2021.

Written submissions made to Cavan County Council in relation to the proposed Draft Plan will be taken into consideration before the Draft Plan is adopted or implemented. 

A copy of the proposed Draft Plan will be available for public inspection from 2nd July 2021 to 30th July 2021 during normal opening hours at the Johnston Central Library, Farnham Street, Cavan and will be available on Cavan County Council’s website www.cavancoco.ie.

Submissions by post must be clearly marked “Draft Litter Management Plan” and should be addressed to Jim Lyng, Environmental Awareness Officer, Waste Management Section, Cavan County Council, Old Library Building, Farnham Street, Cavan to be received by 5pm on Friday, 30th July 2021 at the latest.
