Road Closures

Road closures will be in place on the L2504 between Legaginny Cross and Drumcarey Cross from Tuesday, 16th June to Wednesday, 8th July between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm for emergency surfacing works.

A section of the L-1025 at Eaglehill, Corlough, extending from its junction with the L1026 and L1029 to its junction with the L10251, L1024, and L5022 at Tullynamoltra, will be closed from Thursday, 2nd July to Friday, 10th July (Monday to Friday only) between 8am and 6pm daily to facilitate resurfacing work.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the R-207 Dowra from Thursday 18th June to Friday 19th June and again from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June and again from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July, 8am to 6pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic the National Secondary Road N87 between the Townlands of Lisnamaine and Gartaquill between Monday 3rd August and Sunday 16th August 2026 between the hours of 8am and 6pm for the purpose of road resurfacing.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the L-5611-0, Barrack Lane, from Monday 15th June until Friday 10th July, between 8am and 6pm for the purposes of connecting water and sewerage services to a residential property.

R-205-0 Main Street, Ballyconnell is proposed to be closed from its junction with the N-87-8 (Belturbet to Swanlinbar Road) to its junction with the L-50532-0 (Preaching House Lane) on Saturday, 1st and Sunday 2nd August to facilitate the Ballyconnell Weekend Festival 2026

The L7108, Millstream Bridge Mullagh will be closed from 8am on Monday, 13 July to 5pm on Friday, 7 August 2026 for the purpose of bridge rehabilitation works.

The L2507 & L2508 from Loch Gowna to Arvagh will be closed on Saturday, 1 August 2026 between the hours of 12:30pm and 4:30pm for the purpose of facilitating the Breffni 3 Province Challenge.
