Irish Water working to restore water supply in Mullagh

Irish Water and Cavan County Council are working together to detect and fix the leak affecting Mullagh and surrounding areas.

Operations Lead for Irish Water Peter Gallagher assured customers that crews are working as quickly as possible to find the leak and carry out the essential repairs and appealed to local residents and businesses to conserve water at this time.

“It’s essential we conserve water and I am asking customers to continue with their efforts by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and to postpone using dishwashers and washing machines where possible.”

He also called on local farmers to check drinkers in fields to ensure they are not losing water.

Further information on water conservation is available on our website at www.water/conserve.

“We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate their patience as we work to detect and repair the burst and return the water supply,” Peter added.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Irish Water receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
