Overflow Parking

Cavan County Council will be extending the number of free carparking spaces in Cavan Town this year by providing an overflow carpark located at the rear of the Cathedral of Saints Patrick & Felim, Farnham Street, Cavan. This will provide approximately an additional 90 car parking spaces to motorists visiting the town during the Christmas trading period. Please note that that entry to and exit from this carpark will be via a one way system as follows:

  • Entrance to the carpark will be available on the South side (Courthouse side).
  • When exiting the carpark, please do so on the North side (Keadue Lane side).

Please refer to map below:

Parking will be free at this location from Saturday, 9 December 2023 to Tuesday, 2 January 2024. This carpark will not be subject to a two hour time limit and offers all day parking during normal trading hours. Please note that free parking will not be available to the general public in this carpark outside of this period.
