Emergency Road Closure - Belturbet May Day Parade

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder on Sunday, 4 May 2025 between the hours of 3pm and 5.30pm for the purposes of accommodating the May Day Festival Parade in Belturbet.

Roads Closed:

The R197-0 (Former N3) in Belturbet on Upper Bridge Street, the Diamond, Butler Street, Main Street, Holborn Hill and Deanery Street.
The L-5596-0 (the Fairgreen).
The L-5598-0 (Railway Road).

Alternative Routes:

R197 (Former N3) traffic Via L5590 (the Lawn), the L-5589-0 (Water Lane) and /or the L-5612-0 & the L-5611-0 (Barrack Lane) as directed.
The L-5596-0 (the Fairgreen) and the L-5598-0 (Railway Road) local access as directed by the Parade Marshalls.
