Emergency Road Closure - L-5046-0 + L-50451-0
Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.
Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Monday 30th June 2025 to Friday 4th July 2025, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.
Roads closed:
- L-5046-0 from its junction with the L-1037-0 & L-1038-0 in the townland of Cloneary to its junction with the L-5045-0 & L-50451-0 in the townland of Killymoriarty.
- L-50451-0 from its junction with the L-5045-0 & L-5046-0 in the townland of Killymoriarty to its western extent in the townland of Gortaclogher.
Alternative Route:
- Westbound – From Junction L-5046-0 / L-1037-0 / L-1038-0 travel southwards along the L-1038-0 to Junction L-1038-0 / R-205-2, then westwards along the R-205-2 to Junction R-205-2 / L-5045-0, then northwards along the L-5045-0 to Junction L-5045-0 / L-5046-0 / L-50451-0. End of detour.
- Eastbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to eastbound traffic.
Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
Local access will be accommodated where practicable.
