Emergency Road Closure – R-197-0, Belturbet Halloween Festival

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder from 8pm on Saturday, 1st November until 1:30am on Sunday 2nd November 2025 for the purposes of accommodating the Belturbet Halloween Festival.

Road Closed

The R-197-0 (Former N3) in Belturbet on Upper Bridge Street, the Diamond, Butler Street and Main Street.

Alternative Routes

R-197-0 (Former N3) traffic via L-5590-0 (The Lawn) and L-5589-0 (Water Lane).
All other routes via L-5596-0 (The Fair Green) and R-197-0 (Old N3).
