Emergency Road Closure – R-200-0, Dowra

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Monday 17th November 2025 to Thursday 20th November 2025, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Roads closed

R-200-0 from a location 700 metres west of its junction with the R-207-2 (Dowra) in the townland of Dowra for a distance of 1-kilometre westwards.

Alternative Route

Westbound – From Junction R-200-0 / R-207-2 (Dowra) travel south via R-207 to Junction R-207 / R-208 (Drumshanbo), then westwards along R-208 to Junction R-208 / R-280, then northwards along R-280 to Junction R-280 / R-200 (Drumkeeran), then eastwards along R-200. End of detour.
Eastbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to eastbound traffic.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
