Emergency Temporary Road Closure - L6530 Cornafean

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder on Monday 22nd September 2025 until Friday 10th October 2025 to facilitate the rehabilitation works of Drumcoghill lower bridge on the L6530 in the Townland of Drumcoghill lower, Cornafean, Co. Cavan.

Roads Closed

L6530 from the junction of the L-6526 Kiltrasna to the junction of the L6529, Drumcoghill Upper, Co Cavan.

Diversion Routes

Travelling South past Cornafean and towards Drumcoghill Lower on the L6530 wishing to continue on the L6530 will be diverted onto the L6526 Kiltrasna and then onto the L6529 Drumrockady and back onto the L6530 and Vice Versa.

Local access only will be accommodated but there will be no through road at Drumcoghill Lower Bridge.
