Proposed Temporary Road Closure - L-2534-0 Town Hall Street
Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.
Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Friday, 12th December at 6pm to Monday 15th December 2025 at 12 noon for the purposes of accommodating the Christmas Cottage Markets.
Road to be closed
- The L-2534-0 (Town Hall Street, Cavan) linking the R-212-3 (Farnham Street, Cavan) and the R-901-0 (Main Street, Cavan).
Alternative Route
- R-212-3 (Farnham Street) to R-901-0 (Church Street and Main Street) to rejoin at junction of L-2534-0 (Town Hall Street) and R-901-0 (Main Street).
Notice is further given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic the car park described hereunder from Thursday 11th December 2025 starting at 6pm to Monday 15th December 2025 at 5:00 pm for the purposes of accommodating the Christmas Cottage Markets.
Car park to be closed
- The Car Park (locally known as Town Hall Street Car Park, Cavan) which is located to the south side of the western extent of Town Hall Street (L-2534-0) and accessed from the L-2534-0 (Town Hall Street).
Access for local residents will be provided where practicable.

Any objections to the above road and car park closures should be lodged in writing with the undersigned not later than 5pm on Tuesday 11th November 2025.
