Electric Vehicles

Cavan was the first town outside of major urban centres to receive an on-street charging point. This charging point is in front of the Courthouse, Cavan, was installed by the ESB and became operational in August 2010. Subsequently, several other charging points have been installed  around the county.

To use this charge point, owners of electric vehicles must register on the ESB Ecars website to receive a tag.

Charging points are clearly signed and marked and accessible to electric vehicle owners who have registered with the ESB. The locations of all on street charging points in Ireland are shown on a map on the Ecars website.
