Smart Garage Guide

The Smart Garage Guide was produced on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency by the Clean Technology Centre at Munster Technological University with input by SIMI and promotes good environmental practice in Garages and provides information on how to comply with legislation relating to garage and vehicle servicing operations. It outlines the different ways in which operators can save resources and money through making small changes in their day to day operations in the areas of energy, waste, and water.

It also outlines the environmental legislation that each garage operator needs to comply with in carrying out their activities especially in managing the variety of wastes that arise from garage operations. It also sets out the records that garage operators should maintain in order to show compliance with their various legal responsibilities.
