Playgrounds

For parents with small children a playground is essential and luckily there’s plenty of them in Cavan.

Cavan Town Playground, in Con Smith Park on Cathedral road, Cavan has swings and a baby swing, slides, bridges and benches for parents and guardians. Parking is available on the road. There’s also an adult fitness park next door and a small put pretty park to take a walk around.

Cavan County Museum Playground, Virginia Road, Ballyjamesduff is a small but well maintained playground. Children will also enjoy the World War 1 Trench experience on the grounds of the museum and there’s plenty for all the family to enjoy inside. There’s also a nice little cafe to boot.

Virginia Playground, along Ramor Utd GAA grounds on the Dublin Road. Well equipped, new playground. Parking & benches

Bailieborough Playground – well equipped playground close to town.

Other good playgrounds around Cavan are located in Arvagh, Ballyconnell, Bawnboy, Belturbet, Blacklion, Cootehill, Killeshandra, Kilnaleck, Kingscourt, Lough Gowna, Mullagh, Shercock and Swanlinbar.
