Emergency Road Closure, L-6566 (Killycannon)

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder between the hours of 8am on Monday 10^th August to Friday, 14^th August 2026 at 6pm to facilitate essential pavement repair works.

L-6566 (Killycannon) from Junction with N55 to Mullakeel (L-6568).

Alternative Route

Traffic travelling southbound from Cavan Town on N55 will be diverted to Cashel Cross and diverted onto the L-6568.
Traffic travelling northbound from Ballinagh on N55 will be diverted onto the L-6568 at Cashel Cross.

Local traffic in the area will be accommodated as far as possible.
