Emergency Road Closure, R-212-1, Ballyhaise Road

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Thursday 6^th August 2026 to Friday 7^th August 2026 and again from Monday 10^th August 2026 to Friday 14^th August 2026 and again from Monday 17^th August 2026 to Friday 21^st August 2026, 8am to 6pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Road closed

R-212-1 Ballyhaise Road from its junction with the L-1532-0 & the R-212-2 (Latt Roundabout) in the townland of Latt to its junction with the R-212-5 (access ramp leading to the N-3) in the townland of Drumcalpin.

Alternative Route

North-eastbound – From Junction L-1532-0 / R-212-1 / R-212-2 (Latt Roundabout) travel southwards along the R-212-2 & R-212-3 Cathedral Road to Junction R-212-3 / R-188-0 (Cootehill Road junction), then north-eastwards along the R-188-0, R-188-1 & R-188-2 Cootehill Road to Junction R-188-2 / R-188-7 (access ramp leading to the N-3 Northbound), then follow the R-188-7 access ramp as far as the N3 at Junction R-188-7 / N-3-23, then northwards along the N-3-23 to Junction N-3-23 / N-212-5 (access ramp leading to the R-212 Ballyhaise Road), then follow the R-212-5 access ramp as far as the R-212 Ballyhaise Road. End of detour.
South-westbound – From Junction R-212-1 / R-212-5 (access ramp leading to the N3) take the R-212-5 access ramp as far as the N3 at Junction R-212-5 / N-3-23, then southwards along the N-3-23 to Junction N-3-23 / R-188-8 (southbound access ramp leading to the R-188 Cootehill Road), then follow the R-188-8 access ramp as far as the Cootehill Road at Junction R-188-8 / R-188-2, then south-westwards along the R-188-2, R-188-1 & R-188-0 Cootehill Road to Junction R-188-0 / R-212-3 (Cathedral Road), then northwards along the R-212-3 & R-212-2 Cathedral Road to Junction R-212-2, L-1532-0 & R-212-1 (Latt Roundabout). End of detour.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works. Local access will be accommodated where practicable.
