Emergency Road Closure – L-1059-0, Killeshandra

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Thursday the 4th June to Friday 5th June and again from Monday 8th June to Friday 12th and again from Monday 15th June to Friday 19th June, 8am to 6pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Road closed

L-1059-0 Killeshandra to Ballyconnell Road from its junction with the L-1056-0 in the townland of Drumbinnis to its junction with the L-1048-0, L-1055-0 & L- 1058-0 in the townland of Ardlougher.

Alternative Route

Southbound – From Junction L-1059-0 / L-1048-0 / L-1055-0 / L-1058-0 (Ardlougher junction) travel northwards along L-1048-0 to Junction L-1048-0 / L-1046-0 / L-1045-0 (Fartrin Cross Roads), then southwards along L-1046-0 & L-1047-0 to Junction L-1047-0 / R-199-3 / L-1061-0 (Doogary Cross Roads), then eastwards along R-199-3 to Junction R-199-3 / R-199-2 / L-1059-0 (Whitefield Cross), then northwards along L-1059-0 to Junction L-1059-0 / L-1056-0. End of detour.
Northbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to northbound traffic.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.

Local access will be accommodated where practicable.
