Scam Warning: Fraudulent Emails Seeking Payment of Planning-Related Fees

Cavan County Council is aware of fraudulent emails requesting payment of planning fees or development contributions.

These emails may appear to come from the Council’s Planning Department. If you receive an unexpected email about a planning application or payment, please take care.

Cavan County Council emails will only come from an address ending @cavancoco.ie

If you receive a suspicious email:

Check the sender’s full email address carefully.

Do not click links or open attachments.

Do not provide personal or banking information.

Do not make a payment.

Contact the Planning Department directly on 049 437 8300 to check whether the email is genuine.

Please report suspected fraud to An Garda Síochána
