Emergency Road Closure: L2518, Drumbee to Drumcassidy

11 September 2026

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic, the road described hereunder for 4 days, from Tuesday 15th to Friday 18th September 2026 between 8am-6pm for the purpose of emergency surfacing works from Drumbee to Drumcassidy.

Roads Closed

L2518 Drumbee to Drumcassidy (part of Cavan/Kilnaleck Road)

Alternative Route

From R154 Drumbee (Kilnaleck), divert via R154 to Ballinagh, N55 to Corlurgan (Cavan), L2516, L2517 & L2518 to Drumcassidy.

The same diversion route will apply in reverse.

Local access will be accommodated where possible.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
