Emergency Road Closure, L2518 Drumbee to Drumcassidy

Temporary closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulations 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council needs to close to public traffic, the road described hereunder for 1 day, for a full closure on 13th August 2026 between the hours 9am to 5:30pm for the purpose of emergency surfacing works at Drumbee.

L2518 Drumbee to Drumcassidy (part of Cavan/Kilnaleck Road)

Alternative Route

From R154 Drumbee (Kilnaleck), divert via R154 to Ballinagh, N55 to Corlurgan (Cavan), L2516, L2517 & L2518 to Drumcassidy.

The same diversion route will apply in reverse.

Local access will be accommodated where possible.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
