Emergency Road Closure, L-6623-0 St. Brigid’s Terrace

Temporary closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulations 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 from 7am to 5pm for the purposes of facilitating the erection of a site crane.

Road closed

L-6623-0 St. Brigid’s Terrace, Cavan, from its northern extent at its junction with the L-6629-0 Tullacmongan, southwards for a distance of 80 metres.

Alternative Routes

Southbound: Via L-6629-0 Tullacmongan, L-6623-0 Jubilee Terrace and Breffni Terrace.
Northbound: Via L-6623-0 Breffni Terrace, Jubilee Terrace and L-6629-0 Tullacmongan.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the road closure.

There will be no access to the closed road location and no through route within the L-6623-0 St. Brigid’s Terrace. Local access for residents within St. Brigid’s Terrace will be via Jubilee Terrace and Breffni Terrace.
