Emergency Road Closure: L-6157-0, Cootehill Christmas Markets

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder on Sunday 22^nd November 2026 between the hours of 8am and 8pm for the purposes of accommodating the Christmas Markets in Cootehill.

Road Closed

L-6157-0, to facilitate a road closing order for the Pig Market and Public Car Park, behind SuperValu, Cootehill.
The entrance to the Pig Market area will be closed from Bridge Street, the Public Car Park behind Super Value will be closed from the Fairgreen side and the entrance from Market Street.

The area will be closed to cars for access and parking apart from Market Vendors.

Pedestrian access will be allowed from all three entrances.
