Emergency Road Closure: R198 Drumora to Farrangarve

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic, the road described hereunder for a period of two days, for a full closure on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September between the hours of 4pm Friday through until 5pm on Saturday for the purpose of emergency drainage works.

Roads Closed

R198 Drumora to Farrangarve (Part of the Crossdoney to Arvagh Road) from its junction with the R199 (Cartwrights Rock, Drumora, Crossdoney) to the junction with the L2505 (at Dobsons, Farrangarve, Arvagh)

Alternative Route

Westbound Traffic: From Arvagh divert via L2505 (at Dobsons, Farrangarve) via the L2504 & L2503 to Ballinagh, N55 Ballinagh, the R154 to Crossdoney, and R198 to Cartwrights Rock (Drumora).

The same diversion route will apply in reverse.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
