Proposed Temporary Road Closure: R191 Cootehill/Bailieborough Road

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic the roads described here under on Monday 26^th October 2026 until Monday 2^nd November 2026, 8am-5pm, to facilitate the installation of a new cattle underpass in the townland of Latully, Canningstown.

Roads Closed

R191 Cootehill/Bailieborough Road from its junction with the R192 Shercock/Cootehill Road to its junction with the R165 Bailieborough/Lavey Road.

Alternative Routes

From Cootehill divert via the R192 Shercock Road, via R162 Shercock Road, via R178 Bailieborough Road, via R165 Bailieborough/Lavey Road and vice versa.

Local access only will be accommodated.

Any objections to the above road closure should be lodged in writing with the undersigned not later than 5pm on Wednesday 7^th October 2026.
