Emergency Road Closure: L7041

All temporary emergency and proposed road closures aresubject to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of RoadsRegulation 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic, the roads described hereunder, for a period of 4 hours on Thursday 8^th October 2026 from 12pm to 4pm to facilitate a community event.

Roads Closed

L7041 from Ardlow Cross junction with R178 to Cuilcagh Cross junction with L7040.

Diversion Route

Eastbound traffic (towards Cuilcagh) - Divert via the R178 travelling north, turn right at Coradooa Cross onto L3008, turn right in Cross onto L7040 and rejoin the L7041 at Cuilcagh Cross.
Westbound traffic (towards Ardlow) - Divert via L7040 travelling north, turn left in Cross onto L3008, turn left at Coradooa Cross onto R178 and rejoin L7041 at Ardlow Cross.

Local access will be accommodated where possible.

There will be no through route for local traffic.
