Activation of Emergency Bed Facility

On foot of an urgent request from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Cavan County Council is establishing an emergency bed facility at Cavan Leisure Centre, Drumalee. Gym, pool, and astroturf facilities will remain open to the public.

Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark first with unique online Poetry Map

The recently rebranded Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark became the first ever cross-border Geopark in the World in 2008. The Geopark, which is jointly managed by Fermanagh Omagh District Council and Cavan County Council, has now achieved another first with the launch of Ireland's first online Geopark Poetry Map.
