Emergency Resurfacing Works: N55 Killycannon

06 November 2026

Cavan County Council wishes to advise that resurfacing works will take place on the N55 at Killycannon from Monday, 9 November to Thursday, 12 November, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, with traffic management in place throughout the works.

Please note that the L6566 Killycannon Road may need to be closed for a short period while resurfacing works are carried out across the junction. Diversions will be signposted where necessary.

Cavan County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and cooperation while these essential improvement works are being completed.
