Road Closures - Ballyjamesduff Municipal District
Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic, the roads described hereunder, for a period of 4/5 consecutive days on up to 4 separate occasions, between the dates of Tuesday, 11 April 2023 and Friday, 24 November 2023, for the purpose of road works, subject to funding.
Road closed:
R194-4 Virginia to Ballyjamesduff from its junction with the N3 in Virgina to the junction with the R196-0 in Ballyjamesduff.
Alternative Route(s):
Divert via the N3 in Virginia to the junction with the R196-0 (New Inns), via the R196 to the junction with the R194-4 in Ballyjamesduff.
The same diversion route will apply in reverse.
Road closed:
R194-0 Mullagh to Virginia from its junction with the R191-0 in Mullagh to the junction with the N3 in Virginia.
Alternative Route(s):
Divert via the L3020 in Mullagh and via the L3020/L3021 to the junction with the N3 (Whitegate Cross), via the N3 to the junction with the R194-2 (Virginia)

Road closed:
R199-0 Crossdoney to Killeshandra from its junction with the R198 at Cartwrights Rock to the junction with the L1521 at Killeshandra.
Alternative Route(s):
Divert via the R198 at Cartwrights Rock to the junction with the L1523 and via the L1523/L1522/L1521 to the junction with the R199 in Killeshandra.

L7064 Lurgan to Cormaddyduff from its junction with the R194 (Lurgan Cross) to the junction with the L7063 in Cormaddyduff

Divert via the R194 and via the R195 and via the L7063

L7062 in Mullaghmore from its junction with the L7063 to the junction with the L7069.

Local access will be accommodated where possible. Diversions, where available, will be signposted for the duration of the works.
