Silage Season Checks in the Farmyard

This year’s silage season will soon be upon us. Farmers need to ensure that silage storage facilities are fit for purpose. This means that the silage pit and silage effluent collection and storage facilities meet the standards required by the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFM).

Activation of Emergency Bed Facility

On foot of an urgent request from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Cavan County Council is establishing an emergency bed facility at Cavan Leisure Centre, Drumalee. Gym, pool, and astroturf facilities will remain open to the public.
