Cavan Local Community Safety Partnership – Community Representatives - Expressions of Interest

Members of the public are invited to submit expressions of interest with regarding to joining the Cavan Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP). An assessment committee will be formed to review all applications and to identify suitable members, subject to Ministerial approval.

The Partnership is a collaborative committee that will bring together community members, local councillors, statutory services, and the community and voluntary sector to improve safety and wellbeing across the county. The LCSP is being established in line with the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024.

A key premise of the partnership approach is that every community is different and that the membership seeks to include the broadest of representation across sectoral interests, demographics and community interests in community safety.

The Partnership will include the following representation:

  • Resident Representatives
  • Youth Representatives
  • Minority/new communities Representatives
  • Social Inclusion Sector Representatives from the Community & Voluntary Sector
  • Education Representatives
  • Business Representatives

Expression of Interest forms are available at to complete at the link below, and will also be available in hard copy from all Cavan Library Service branches and from all public Cavan County Council offices. Forms may also be requested by emailing lcsp@cavancoco.ie.

Forms can be:

  • Completed online,
  • sent in hard copy to Cavan Community Safety Partnership Coordinator, Cavan County Council, Courthouse, Farnham Street, Cavan, H12R6V2, or
  • emailed to lcsp@cavancoco.ie 

to arrive no later than Thursday, 4th December 2025 at 5pm.
