Minister Heather Humphreys joined Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council Cllr TP O’Reilly in officially launching the Bailieborough Bridewell visitor centre on Thursday, 12th December, ahead of its opening to the public in Spring 2025.
Cavan County Council has made over 1,200 free off-street car parking spaces available to shoppers in Cavan Town this Christmas.
To support local business and encourage people to shop local this Christmas, Cavan County Council is making all off street parking (public carparks only) free in Cavan Town in the build up to the festive period.

Cavan County Council Arts Office has secured €155,000 in funding to deliver a new EU culture, health, and wellbeing programme in partnership with 14 organisations from 13 countries.

Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic, the L1513 from 8am on Monday, 27th January 2025 to 8pm on Friday 14th February 2025 (inclusive of weekends) for the purpose of footpath construction and accommodation works on the L1513 in the vicinity of the entrance to Farnham National School.
